Celebrate Africa

I had the pleasure of meeting a lovely lady from Nigeria called Chioma Ogwuegbu a couple of weekends ago.  She has embarked on a mission to travel around the continent by road in order to highlight Africas positive attributes.

Check out her site to find out more about it:

toke, i find this absolutely exciting as i've been dreaming of touring africa by road someday...soon. this is the kind of information that'll keep me coming back here.

but now that i'm on the subject (of providing feedback) let me ask this question: what plans do you have to diversify the kind of events you publish? i find that most of the listings cater to younger, 17-25 ish clientele. your wider (and perhaps slightly older) audience may want to see you talk about plays, shows, new restaurants too... anything without deafening music.

once again thanks for the link... great job!

shum, accra

We do in-fact list things that our more mature readers may find of interest from time-to-time. Unfortunately we often don't get enough notice about up and coming theatrical performances but promise to do better in future.

Just because you requested I suggest you try out this Italian restaurant that I like, it's called Osteria Michelangelo. It's located at house no.3 Nortei Ababio Street in Airport Residential. It's got a nice calm and relaxed feel to it, no loud music and it's highly unlikely that you'll find many loud or disgruntling patrons there.

You do however need to make a reservation as it does get full on most nights. Call 0244233533 or 0244630389 and speak to Leo or Veronica and they'll take good care of you.

They are also open for lunch.
