Come to the launch of "Ye Ko Didi - Won Ko Skul" (We Eat - They
School): Tuesday, October 20th!

MISSION: to improve access to education for children of low-income
families in Accra

APPROACH: we'll host a monthly dinner with entertainment at
restaurants around Accra; the restaurants agree to provide the food at
cost, and we donate 100% of the proceeds to scholarship funds at the
CJ School and Light Academy in Accra.

PLACE: Ryan's Irish Pub, OSU
DATE & TIME: October 20th, 6:30-7:30 (happy hour), 7:30 dinner served
LIVE MUSIC: Gouda, a hip Accra-based band!

Tell me what you think guys... Christmas Drive?

I have been thinking about doing a Christmas drive this Christmas (for the past hour) (we've got Antoine to thank for this ^_^).  And seeing as a Christmas drive would involve everyone being driven I thought I'd ask you, our blog readers, what you thought of the idea.

The I ♥ Accra Christmas drive.  On Christmas day we all show Accra how much we care and make someone else's Christmas special.  We won't be asking for any cash donations but we will be asking for people to contribute food, drinks and their time.  I know Christmas is supposed to be a time for families but there are people in our beloved city that have no families or no one that cares about them enough to make their day memorable so why don't we sacrifice as we were sacrificed for and dedicate our Christmas to someone else this year?

Let me know what you think of the idea.

From the 7th of November you will be able to order these fabulous wardrobe must haves. AND the best thing about them is that for each one you purchase a percentage of the profits goes to the Family Outreach program on Spintex road (this years chosen charity).

Beginning in December you will also be able to get your hands on special 'limited edition' collectible tees designed by some of Accra's finest t-shirt designers. They will be in limited supply and only available for a short period of time so keep your eyes peeled for those!
